Reynolds Tea Room
Went with a friend today and was very impressed by the atmosphere, but it appears that service and the food is hit and miss. We both ordered the Colonial High Tea. The scones and desserts were fresh and excellent, but the sandwiches fell a bit short...very generic and lacking in flavor (although the Shepard's Pie tart was very decent). Had a very nice guy as our server, but he appeared very busy and rushed, so we had to wait for plates and milk for several minutes before receiving. Also, overheard other servers offering assistance and descriptions of the tea offerings...we did not receive that kind of service...overall had a good time, in terms of afternoon tea, you get what you pay for.
