What a horrid place! Bad service, bad food, bad atmosphere. Taking tea should be a relaxing, enjoyable event. Being served by a surly waitress doesn't fit the bill. The 'quiche' was a rubbery, watery concoction--more like an overcooked omelet. This is the ONLY time I have had bad quiche. Ever! My friend had the afternoon tea and it was excruciatingly slow between courses. And mustard on a cucumber sandwich? How strange! Apparently, it's a problem for the staff to prepare separate bills for customers. This is a dilemma when both of you have twenty dollar bills. This is such a lovely little town, and to be cursed by such an unpleasant tea room is most unfortunate. Luckily for the good people of Plymouth, there are MANY other outstanding tea rooms in nearby cities.
