Pinecone Cottage Tea House
We had a lovely time at Pinecone Cottage, although we were the only customers on a Friday afternoon. We were served promptly even though we were twenty minutes early for our reservation. Service was excellent and so was the food, although the salad was sopping in its dressing, thus the 'good' rather than 'excellent' rating. The scones and deserts were especially good - not too weird, not too pedestrian. The teas we ordered were FABULOUS - one herbal, one flavored black - and we were pleased that we could purchase the blends to take home. The monthly menu available online or in print just outside of the shop is very enticing and helped us choose when to visit and who to bring along. Great location right next to the public library and a lovely country-french-cottagey room with plenty of privacy for each seated party. We're planning to take out-of-town visitors just as soon as someone comes to visit!
