Promont House Museum
I recently hosted my sister's bridal shower at The Promont House Museum. Everyone had such a wonderful time. We started out with mimosas in the formal dining room of the house. We provided the mimosas but they provided the table, set up beautifully with ice bucket, champagne glasses, flowers, and cloth napkins. Then we moved on to tea. The Ashby's of London Ginger Peach tea was delicious and everyone had several cups. The food was also delicious, we especially enjoyed the Chicken Salad on cinnamon swirl bread, scones, and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was full after our meal. The atmosphere was that of a formal tea- the house is beautiful, the table settings perfect. We felt like we had stepped back in time! Mary Ann, Sue, and the other staff were so very nice and sweet. They made us feel so welcome and helped us with anything we needed. We had plenty of time to do gifts and a couple games, and Sue told us not to rush and to take our time and relax. Sue gave us a tour of the house after the shower, which was very interesting. This was my first time at Promont but definitely not my last! I have plenty of bridal showers and baby showers to host in the future!
