Service in the resturant was okay. The room was a bit crowded, bathroom was dirty, no soap. Calling for reservations is a hassle. They NEVER answer the phone, it takes days for them to call you back, then when I called to confirm, I found they had the date of the reservation wrong! Then, on our 2nd visit, when I called to cancel, the owner called me back to chastise me (for cancelling with 4 days notice) because they had 'held our table' for two weeks. Ridiculous.
Laura, I think you have some of your facts incorrect...firstly we are not a restaurant, we are a tearoom. Everything is made fresh each and every day. When you first called to make your reservation, nearly a month in advance, I explained to you it was Mother's Day weekend, very sought after date...you first started with a reservation for 12, then down to 8, then again you changed it to 6 on a voicemail that Monday, then when we talked on Tuesday you said you weren't sure how many would come and then you cancelled after hours on Wed. night. Yes I called you because we had to turn ladies away for Mother's Day because you had us hold 12 seats, of which we have 20, and then cancelled last minute. Rediculous yes, rude, most definately!
