What an absolutely wonderful afternoon! My daughter and I were blessed and honored to be taken to high tea by our very good friend CJ. It was everything and more than we could have imagined. The exquisite Victorian home lovingly transformed into the most dreamy tea house is a sight to behold. Sylvia was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the home as well as the many and varied teas she offers, all of which were perfectly brewed. Each course was a scrumptious explosion on ones taste buds and was perfectly complimented by the tea. We were never rushed and allowed to enjoy each course to the fullest before the next was served. The food was perfectly prepared and served at perfect temperature! The three tired tray with the sandwiches, desserts and fruit was preciously presented and a work of art. The portions were perfect and we left with contented tummies. The tea room was art in itself and a feast for the eyes. We spent hours just enjoying the lovely china, beautiful and perfect table settings, wonderful antiques and wonderful tea menu. Sylvia is an artist in tea and the menu choice has some of the finest varieties available! The gift shop has everything a tea lover could want and I of course could not leave without one of her rare collectibles. My daughter and I are so very anxious to make a reservation and return for another feast for our eyes as well as our tummies. We were able to get a tour of the beautiful home and the quality of craftsmanship that went into building a treasured beauty such as the Monroe home. Not only is Sylvia's tea house her business,it is her passion and makes for a once in a lifetime experience (unless you go again as we plan to). This is a must for any tea lover or aficionado! This was the best time I have spent with my very good friend CJ, my beloved daughter and the wonderful experience of high tea. Thank you Sylvia!
