Tea Upon Chatsworth
I just ate here with my girlfriend this Monday and had a wonderful time. We had High Tea which includes a good amount of portioned out sandwhiches, scones and dessert(s). One sandwich we ate had fresh edible flowers in it which was surprisingly tasty. You receive two scones which were very small and not warm. They are served with the sandwiches and desserts so you don't have a chance to enjoy them first (or last). However, it seems to work out though because you do end up getting fairly full by the time you reach for the scone. But for those of us who are used to big, warm scones served before or after the sandy's should be aware how they come to the table. Otherwise, the atmosphere was busy. The service just a tad slow however I've been here before and that just seems to be how it goes-so just give yourself plenty of time to enjoy your tea time (as you should!) and you won't leave here frustrated. I keep coming back to try the seasonal menus (as they change every 3 mo's I think) and always look forward to what the owner has in store next. On this menu, the chilled melon soup is such a relief from the warm weather outside! Once again, a visit well worth the trip!
