**CLOSED** We drove almost two hours to go here only to find they went out of business months ago. Very sad. The tea room is a fragile business venture indeed. :(
I was here several years ago was was very unimpressed, however, I decided to give this tea room one more chance and I'm thrilled that I did! I don't know whether it's changed hands or not but the lady who served us was wonderful, the food delicious, and the environment was cozy and relaxing even on a hot day. I definitely recommend The Charms of Tea.
My friend and I had a lovely experience here. We came early and were seated immediately, I ordered the Classic Tea which included a fruit sorbet, savories, desserts and one of the biggest, most amazingly delicious lavender scone I had ever had in my whole life. We were so impressed my friend ordered one for herself. The chef even came out to greet us and ask how our meal was. I do wish they would crack a door or a window open though, as the fireplace makes it almost too toasty. I will definitely be back!
