A lovely event yesterday highlighting the Women's Suffrage movement. Miss Spenser, dressed in an appropriate period dress, hat and gloves, gave a rallying cry requesting our support for the effort. We responded by cheering and clapping our hands. She then shared history about the efforts of the Suffragettes which led to the eventual success of their quest, providing women the right to vote. Our food and tea were, as always, elegantly presented and delicious! Iowa is fortunate to have this lovely family and their tea room!
