Elaine's Tea Room
My mom, aunts and I celebrated our July birthdays by having tea at Elaine's Tea Room in West Chester. Elaine's personality was very pleasant and inviting and her home beautifully decorated. Our first serving included an international black ceylon tea that was surprisingly mild to the taste accompanied by delicious, fresh fruit, gourmet cheese and crackers. This was followed by wonderful, homemade tea sandwiches, choice of cold or hot soup, muffins and mouthwatering scones from Elaine's mother's recipe. Dessert was a choice of either homemade mince-meat brownies (delicious and moist) or homemade custard with fresh orange slices (my favorite). We ended our lovely, relaxing afternoon with a domestic peach tea that was so flavorful no sweetener was needed. I highly recommend grabbing your friends and scheduling tea at Elaine's...you won't be disappointed!
