Olivia's Tea Room
I spent my birthday with two of my cousin's at Olivia's on Saturday and I had the most delicious meal ever! Alice has changed her menu and everything was just perfect. Her strawberry soup is to die for! Following that we were served a beautiful salad with fresh strawberries on it and then came the mouth watering scones! They were loaded with cherries and white chocolate chips and were fresh out of the oven and so good! Next we were served a beautiful three tiered tray of sandwiches that were absolutely delicious! She had cheese and broccoli quiche, her fabulous chicken salad sandwich, a cucumber sandwich, cranberry bread with strawberry cream cheese, and an apricot jelly with cream cheese on a corn bread muffin. She also added skewers of olives and cherry tomatoes to the tray! All of that was followed by another tiered tray of desserts; she made delicious homemade sandtarts that remind me of how my mother used to make them, they were so thin and crisp, just absolutely delightful! Also on the tray were homemade chocolate cupcakes filled with her clotted cream, a Boston Cream filled cupcake, and a lemon cupcake. We were served three different flavors of tea throughout our meal, each and everyone were very good. Needless to say we were stuffed when we left! Alice is one of the sweetest people you'll meet when you have tea at her tea room, she's very personable and truly cares about making your visit one to remember. Her staff are all very pleasant and are happy to serve you too. I highly recommend Olivia's Tea Room to everyone and can't wait to go back! Ask to see the video of her 13 year old granddaughter Olivia playing the piano at a recital, she's wonderful and plays like a pro!!
