The food was good, but that is all. I went on an outing with my Red Hat Society Group. There was about 30 of us. The Hodgepodge was given more than 2 weeks notice. We only had one waitress. the cost was 13 dollars per person for a half of a panini sandwich, a cup of soup that was only half full, a 25cent bag of chips and a cookie. The cookies were on a plate on our table when we arrived. there were 7 cookies for 5 of us at our table. Some of the bigger tables may not have even gotten a cookie. There were no crackers offered with the soup and no pickle with our sandwich. The waitress was not at all friendly and she didn't tell us her name. This meal would have been cheaper if ordered off the menu. The half sandwich and soup was 7.95 and the coffee was 1.65 That comes to 9.60. The cookie wasn't worth more than 50 cents. The waitress made a real good tip off of a bunch of old ladies. I am very disappointed and will never go back. One more thing. Why was there no mention of there wide assortment of tea. After all, this is a tea-room.

    Tearoom response:

We regret that we were overwhelmed that day due to a very favorable article that appeared in the Buffalo News. We also regret that you felt the need to critique your lunch on a tea site rather than address one of us, expecially when you did not have tea. Your lunch was served in the tea room in order for your group to eat together. We hope that you will come back and try us again. Penny Creasey, Co-owner
