The Johnston House
The decor, the service and the atmosphere are the best I have found so far. Very tasteful, no detail left to chance. Even the beautuful bathrooms have scented soaps,hand creams as well as scented candles. The tea selections and food preparation are bar none. They are able to accomodate special dietary requirements such a gluten free foods. The owners go to any length to make sure your experience is a beautiful and peaceful one. The selection of foods is presented on a lovely three tiered serving plate stand. Hot tea and iced teas are available. It is a wonderful location to host a small get together with friends or a shower with larger numbers of guests. My only critism is the accoustics in some areas make it hard to hear others at your table if you have a larger group (more than 4). They do have smaller private rooms available for your group so nothing is impossible to accomodate. Their shop privides a tea enthusiaste with a good hour of browsing and inspiration. They have an eye for classic decor as well as selectons for the more whimsical. Overall I find visitng the Johnson House an all year round magical experience.
