If your travels take you to Fillmore, be sure to stop by Bella's Teas & Treats, a charming family-run tea room! You won't be disappointed! I first discovered Bella's during a family outting to Filmore this past July and have been back several times since. Three local shopkeepers suggested that we try Bella's, and I soon learned why. I love the the impressive selection of unique teas (two of my recent seasonal favorites are carrot cake and pumpkin spice), and the yummy salads, HUGE sandwiches, and treats. The decor is also adorable. But more than anything I love Renee's hospitality. She and her family always welcome us with open arms and treat us as though they're entertaining us in their own home. This is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. In fact, I took two of my girlfriends there to celebrate their bdays, and they loved it. But it's also an ideal place just to hang out and relax. My hubby and I have been three times in recent weeks...a couple of times to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon enjoying tea on the patio while watching the happenings in the nearby town square. Yesterday,though, was the first time my hubby joined me there for lunch...he indulged in the mammoth-sized chicken curry croissant sandwich and scones. Let me assure you, he didn't leave hungry! I can't wait to go back to share this special tea room with more of my family and friends!
