Paris In A Cup
It's too bad this pretty little place was spoiled by the cold reception we received. Had reservations made well in advance for a special event. We were almost seated in a major traffic path and when we asked for another table, the owner was visible unhappy...I would have walked out, but was with a group. Food was OK, but my $20 salad was so unimaginative. Scones were delicious and the best part of the meal. Tea was fine. Owner was hovering to hint that we leave when we finished. Someone actually came and knocked on the bathroom door to hurry me along!!! After spending $150 on lunch and a bundle in the gift shop, I would have liked a more gracious welcome & good-by. We neglected to read the fine print and it was quite a shock to see the 18% gratuity added for only 4 people. There are lots of shops who would welcome business in this economy. Apparently the owner of this establishment does not care.

Dear Renee- I am always distressed when a guest(s)leaves Paris In A Cup unhappy. I am truly sorry that your experience was not a good one. I would like to say that it was no problem to move you to another table,really, but truly the banquettes were indeed already reserved in advance. Some reservations were made weeks in advance. Your hostess had asked me in advance to add the 18% gratuity when she left her card for the bill. Our staff works very hard to accommodate every guest and reviews are shared so we may continually improve our service. Thank you for your comments. I am in sincere hopes that you visit us again. Merci
