Teahouse Kuan Yin
A very nice variety of teas from black teas blends to aged Oolongs. I've been going to Teahouse Kwan Yin for almost 15 years and through several different owners. My pet peeve with the teahouse in its current state is the stacks of tacky and stained plastic bins that hold bulk teas and whatnot. Every time I go in, my hopes are dashed that they finally got rid of them or at least moved them to a less prominent place. With the addition of the stainless steel cannisters to store the retail teas, I eagerly awaited the removal of the plastic bins and a restoration of the comfortable atmosphere to the place. Alas. It was not meant to happen and the current feel of the place reminds me of warehouses and back rooms. The service is usually pleasant and I greatly appreciate the 2nd teapot into which I can decant my steeped tea. It remains one of my favorite places to stop for a pot of tea but I no longer recommend it to others. I certainly hope there are changes made in the future.
