Hyde Park Tea Cottage
I was surprised by this cute tea room. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, each room is painted and decorated a different way and the food was excellent. I usually don't get excited about the food in tea rooms, most of the time it's what you'd expect, the usual sandwiches and sweets. But, at Hyde Park Cottage I had the most amazing Potato Soup (and I don't even like Potato Soup!), and the Broccoli Casserole, Sandwiches, Cakes etc. were also very good. The only thing I didn't like at the Cottage was the fact that the tea pot was removed after she refilled our cups. We had to wait awhile (with empty cups) before she came back in to check on us. I would have liked it better if the pot had stayed at the table and we could have refilled our own cups. Everything else was perfect!
