LaTeaDa Tea Room & Gift Shop
LaTeaDa has become my FAVORITE place to go with my girlfriends!!! I am a teacher and we try to go whenever we have days off of school. We went last week and I picked up some great Christmas gifts for my sister-in-laws in the upstairs gift shop. I don't know where they find all of their neat merchandise but they really have some unique items that you won't find other places.The staff is so nice and the food is always superb. My only problem (and I have learned my lesson)has been not calling to make a reservation. The last time I went on a whim with a friend and we had to go upstairs and shop for quite a while (darn!) before a table was open. Guess the secret's out! I LOVE the Christmas Spice hot tea and the LaTeaDa iced tea. Last week I had a grilled turkey sandwich on cinnamon bread with bacon, cheddar cheese and a sweet apple spread, YUM. I don't know how they come up with their menu items, but everytime they change their menu I find another favorite. If you have not been to LaTeaDa yet, you should definitely make the trip. We used to frequent several tea rooms in Ill, but now we always end up in Clinton at LaTeaDa. (Plus there are some other nice shops in town). Kudos to those ladies! Keep up the good work!
