Cottage Cafe' of Largo
Food is good and enough of it, but service is something they need to work on. We were there for a very special tea party that was suppose to take one and a half hours (2 hours top) we where there for a little over three hours. Waiting and waiting between courses, I finally had to go tell them we were ready for the dessert it was taking so long and my guest where having to leave. It would have been nice if they could of poured our first cup of tea and explained what kind it was. Then when they brought in the scones they could have explained a little of what they are. When they brought in the different sandwiches and we asked about them, they where placed in the center of the table and she had no time to tell us about them. They booked to many tea party's at one time (even though the owner told me they would only book one tea party during the lunch hour), she had my group of 10, plus 12 in the green room, and 6 in the small tea room. There was also the every day lunch trade going on with only two lady's to do all the cooking and serving. Some suggestions, when you bring the tea in pour the first cup for your customers, take the time to explain about the different scones you just placed on the table, and the same with the different sandwiches and deserts. Please do not book more than you can handle, I do believe serve is just has important as the food to get your customers to come back.
