Candleberry Tea Room & Cafe / The Gift Box
Hello to all of your staff at Candleberry! I visited your fine establishment this week (on Thursday) with a group of 5th graders from Livermore Elementary in McLean County. Most all of us experienced a KY Hot Brown for the first time while dining with you that day. We were all SO impressed! Your staff members greeted us warmly at the door, and the service could not be beat. We were treated like family and felt at home. The food was outstanding. It's a tough sell to convince 5th graders to try something new, but our kids had such a great time and really loved the food. They are still talking about the pie (imagine that! ha ha!). What an experience! We would love to bring students every year and make it a tradition. All of the adults on our trip remarked that it was such a blessing to be able to sit down and have a nice meal and be treated with such kind, spiritual hospitality. Hats off to you! We very humbly thank you for the one-of-a-kind moment our kids and us could spend with you.

Scott... your group of fifth graders were the most well behaved group! They were all very mannerly and graceful. We are so happy their first experience with a Kentucky Hot Brown happened at our place. We pride ourselves on the taste of our hot brown. We would love for your school to make this an annual trip!
