This charming spot is located in the middle of the village of New Paltz, but feels secluded and private. The water is filtered, the pots are scalded, the tea is piping hot and served with a timer and a doodad to put the tea sack in when your tea is brewed. They use those paper t-sacs which are fabulous.Afternoon tea sandwiches where of the highest quality. No curling edges of dried up bread here. I've had afternoon tea at numerous places in manhattan and this place puts tem to shame. Local and organic ingredients, superior baked goods and a super friendly staff. It's more than just a tearoom- also serves breakfast lunch and dinner - very much in the spirit of the british gastro-pub idea - elevated domestic seasonal cooking.
