Vintage Tea Leaf
WOW!There are few Tea Houses in Southern California I have not been to, especially if they are Victorian, British or Country. Been trying different houses for years as a hobby. I have taken tea with Beverly, 'The Tea Mistress' and her wonderful staff, multiple times and it is a wonderful formal tea experience. The homemade mushroom soup is so good you want to take a bath in it! The sandwiches are always fresh and delishes (the chicken salad is like none other, anywhere), there is a large selection and you get to choose! Scones could be warm, but are good and come with yummy lemon curd (would like to have a berry preserve also). Go with the finger desserts, you won't be disapointed (especially the raspberry linzer type). Huge, outstanding tea selection and it is prepared perfectly. You are never rushed and atmosphere is a tea room classic, just beautiful. There is also an attached gift shop, one of the best I have been in (and I used to be in the giftware business), I spend a chunk of $ every time. No, I am not related to Beverly, this is just truly a great tea house and listening to Beverly explain some of the teas and their history, really adds to the whole experience!!!
