Southern Gardens Tea Room
My friend and I visited this tearoom thinking that we were going to have great food and experience. After all, the place was put together nicely. Sadly, it was BIG disappointment. First we ordered the scones. It was crumbly, has no texture of scones, no buttery smell. It tasted cross between corn bread and muffin. It's not bad but they were not scones. We ordered the tea, I think the server gave me the wrong tea but he insisted that was the tea I ordered. They put the loose leaf tea in what appeared to be a paper towel that sticks out of the teapot. It was not elegant at all. The tea sandwiches had NO flavor whatsoever. Very bland and was served on white mushy un-evenly cut bread. The desserts DEFINITELY store bought! We spent around $43 for this?? What a shame! One more thing, the server forgot all about us. He never came back to check if we needed anything else. We were very disappointed and we will NEVER visit this tea room again.
