Queen Mary Tea Room and Restaurant
I visited this tea place on a recent business trip to Seattle (I found it on teamap.com), and let me tell you, it was excellent! I came back for a second visit, and would go again, anytime I am in Seattle! I had the 'afternoon tea' on my first visit: the tea selection was very good, the fruit served was amazing (the assortment was truly impressive, considering I went in early Feb), the sorbet was good, the sandwiches were good (the salmon and also the cucumber were excellent, but I didn't like the almond chicken one), the deserts were very good. What made this place so outstanding was the excellent service, food quality, atmosphere & menu selection! The only things I would change: I would cut the sandwiches into smaller portions (at least for the afternoon tea), and I would do something about the bench seating to make it more comfortable (it had padding, but was still a mite too uncomfortable)...all in all, an excellent experience at a well-established tea room, who clearly knows how to give a good afternoon tea!
