Lady Elegant's Tea Room & Gift Shoppe
We attended the 'A Christmas Carol' tea two years ago. During the tea, a young man performed portions of the story. We decided to go again this year and took two children. I specifically asked if there would be the performsnce again this year and was told yes. Also, the website and brochure stated 'Join Ebenezer Scrooge and the Cratchit family for tea' indicating there was a performance. After arriving, we found that there was no performance. The owner was rude and declined to take any responsibility for the misinformation, other than offering a $30.00 store credit which I declined because we will never go back. $40.00 each was way too much for just the tea, and the service was so slow that after two hours we just had the remaining food packed up and left.

We regret that you had an unpleasant experience at our Tea Room and are sorry for any miscommunication that may have occured. We served 102 guests over two weekends this past year at 'A Christmas Carol Tea.' Unfortunately you were the only one who was expecting the actor to return. No such information was posted on our printed literature or on our website. FYI As advertised, we suggest guests allow 2 to 2-1/2 hours for all of our themed events.
