What a lovely afternoon I spent with my daughter on Saturday celebrating the Titanic Tea event. The teas chosen were wonderful and the tea trays were lovely as well as very tasty. We enjoyed the room we were in along with a group of lovely ladies that came from The Villages and dressed for the occasion! We wound up exchanging phone numbers and e-mails! Aimee and John you did a wonderful job. The servers were all very attentive and we lucked out -- we got Aimee's Mom as our server and she was such a delight! (I think you should hire her full time!!) We always enjoy visiting your lovely tea room. It is so calming, a true break in the day. Your staff is always very gracious and I have seen them all improve each time I've visited. We look forward to our next visit. Suzanne Carfora Arceri and Tonia Dawson

It was such a pleasure to see both of you again! I'll put in a good word for Jan:)

Thank you for taking the time to write a great review and looking forward to serving you again!

  • Magnolia Terrace Tea Room & Bistro

While we never thought the taste of the food was exceptional, my daughter and I always enjoyed going to Magnolia Terrace Tea Room when it was in it's original location. We visited the newer location a few times and figured they had to work out some kinks. I arranged a visit with some friends and my daughter in Nov. of 2012 (I have just joined Tea Map, thus the late review). We had always had very good service from Mary Ellen (I think that is her name) but for some reason that day we had a young man who did not know anything about the tea, food variety, salads. There were a few young men serving that day and it just seemed to me none of them had any idea of how to serve let alone explain the menu or answer questions. We had a few people at our table who did not want hot tea. We had to remind him quite a few times to bring water for them. The service was very slow. While I assume the tea trays were made up when ordered, I didn't quite understand the problem with getting our tea. There is another problem I feel in the consistency of the food. I have had the Curry Chicken Salad a few times (granted, not one of our favorites) but sometimes the curry is overpowering and both myself and my daughter cannot eat it. We usually order a different sandwich in lieu of that salad. We have not been back to this tea room since that time. I really feel sad, it was so nice to just run in for a cup of tea and a relaxing hour. I do hope these criticisms are taken constructively. The Tea Room is very cute and could be terrific. I would maybe suggest a change of menu and an up grade of the quality of the food. Some of the sandwiches tasted like they used packaged deli meat. I don't mind deli meat, but it should be of good quality. Maybe I am disappointed because I might be expecting more of a Victorian Tea and this is advertised as an Australian Tea Room. This Tea Room can be so much more, and I hope it succeeds. We will be back just to see if things have changed any, I truly hope so. As far as the owner goes, Karen has always been very gracious and accommodating and I wish her the best.
