Reservations for tea were made over a month ago,however, when we arrived after driving for almost 2 hrs, we were told that there was no record of our making reservations. Why would I make reservations over a month before today, 4/10/10, and also give a credit card # to hold the reservations, and also told the lady that we wanted high tea. Was told to call the day before if there cancellations, because there 18 in our party. We did have cancellations, so I called on 4/9 and told a man that we had some cancellations for tea and he said he would tell them. He even acknowledged that he had talked to me the day before. I had also posted on facebook on Fri. that I was looking forward to coming to tea on Sat. and they responded that they were looking forward to our coming. We went on & ordered lunch, and two of our people NEVER did get their lunch. The food was nothing extra. I don't know how this place was # 1 as we have been to tearooms all over Ky. & it definitely not # 1. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!
There was a misunderstanding about the reservation for High Tea. We did have record of the reservation for 18 for lunch. We have apologized with complete sincerety numerous times about the mistake with the reservation. We totally understand this group's disappointment and understand that they were upset. We do not however understand some of the other comments they have made about the quality of food and service. We always strive to provide the highest possible quality and service and have provide such for many years.... the hundreds of positive comments we have received on TeaMap and on Facebook attest to that fact. Again, we are very sorry for the misunderstanding concerning the reservation, had there been any way to accomodate the group in that manner we would have done so.
