  • The Tilted Teacup Tea Room and Boutique

Visited at the new location (old Rogers Christmas House). Happy to see these buildings being used again. The location is nice the decor nice , not over done. The service was courteous , polite and servers knowledgable and were dressed cutely. We had the High tea, which included-soup, quiche, sandwiches, a scone and some petit four style desserts. The broccoli soup topped with pie crust was served in a tea cup and was very tasty. The crustless spinach quiche was also very good (not a typical portion, on the small side) as was the golden crusted blueberry scone And although the scone was served with Devonshire cream , there wasn't any jam/jelly/marmalade served with it, but you can purchase lemon curd at an additional cost Our finger sandwiches were cream cheese and cucumber, pimento and cheese, and Waldorf- all very good. The three petit fours were chocolate ganache type, lemon bar and an orange colored one, (not sure of the flavor ) all on a graham cracked crust base . They offered a nice selection of tea- regular, herbal, white and rooibos I had the Nutcracker which had a nice almond flavor. All in all we had a very pleasant visit. The only somewhat negative thing I can say is that with tip, the High tea for two came to $50 - a little expensive for a small amount of food. I have had others which aren't as costly.

    Tearoom response:

    Tlee,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a gracious review. My wife and I were definitely born in the wrong era. We have a passion to not only bring life back to old houses, but to put a unique spin on them and to fellowship with our customers. My wife also is the one who has decorated and has made all of the floral arrangements thru out. Most of the recipes are hers as well and she uses a lot of great ingredients. My hat is definitely off to her! She puts so much detail into everything that is placed onto our plates, tiers and into our teacups. We are very Blessed to have such an awesome staff as well. What I'm trying to say is, a lot goes into the preparation and it's more than that.....the experience from the first step you take onto our porch. If there was a way to make it more affordable without sacrificing the quality of our food, Aimee and I would definitely pass that savings onto our customers. We thank you again for taking the time and we appreciate your business.

  • Kaleisia Tea Lounge

I was looking forward to trying this tea lounge, I found a place with no ambience - every table was taken by a single person glaring into a laptop. It was hot and smelled like old fish. Took tea to go - tea was very good. Staff was not overly friendly and wasn't knowledgable about tea we asked about.
