Calico Rose Cafe
My 5 year old daughter and I had lunch here on a cold Sunday in March and had a delightful experience. The waitress and the owner were such friendly and welcoming ladies, we felt right at home. I had the quiche of the day, which came with soup and a tasty maccaroni salad. My daughter had a Pb&j sandwich with goldfish crackers an veggie sticks. Everything was artfully presented and delicious. The desserts are to die for...I had the Hummingbird cake. The teas are from Republic of Tea...a nice selection. I know some tea aficionados don't care for bag teas, but I was happy with my pot of Spring Cherry Green Tea. We have been to this tea room several times before and will be back again.

Charlotte's Tea Room
My 5 year old DD and I had a delightful time at Charlotte's Tea Room yesterday. The two young ladies who waited on us were friendly and attentive, they made us feel right at home, even though one of us was a 'wee' person. My daughter had the 'Wee Tea' and was thrilled with the artful presentation of pb&j tea sandwiches, strawberry hearts and a real teapot and cup for her hot chocolate. I had the soup of the day, the assorted tea sandwiches and the Paris tea blend. The tea was exceptional and I thoroughly enjoyed the soup and sandwiches. We sat in the Mad Hatter room and loved the decor (although my daughter wanted to sit in the 'flower' room, I didn't want to disturb the ladies who were enjoying a quiet tea in there.) After lunch, we were able to pick up a gift for my mother-in-law in the adjoining gift shop. What a fun place! We can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu.
