A Dash of Panache
My girlfriends and a few others thoroughly enjoyed visiting this tea parlor last Sunday. The business concept is very unique and creative. They have a cafe up in the front section and it has a very cute gift shop that I had to drag a few of my girlfriends away from so we could be seated. The tea parlor is in the middle section of the building. We were seated by a very nice hostess (I am sorry but I forgot her name). After reviewing their huge tea menu, we each selected our own pot of tea. Well, one of my friends didn't want hot tea but instead wanted their special iced tea that day (I forgot the name of it but it had pomegranite and vanilla in it I think). She gave me a taste and it was very yummy. While they were getting our tea pots prepared, we were told we could visit the vanity closet and that we could borrow whatever we wanted from it. It's a long story but when we were done, we were laughing and decked out in some pretty fun feathers, hats, bling, and more. They taughted us out how steep our own tea in the cute tea pots. They served us pumpkin scones with heavy whipped cream which was probably the tastiest whipped cream I've ever had. They also served it with a cream cheese-based frosting/icing on the side. We also each got a yummy and warm cinnimon roll. The next course consisted of a very nice selection of small sandwiches; all of which were very tasty. We also were served a wonderful soup and a mixed salad that was really good. There was also quiche (vegetable) and it was very well made. They finished us off with a plate of assorted goodies (a triple chocolate brownie, fruit, a cream puff with a nice chocolate sauce, and ice cream that hit the spot). The hostess even gave us tea samples as we left. It was very impressive, very tasty, and we had so much fun that we will be very dedicated return visitors too! I would highly recommend this tea parlor although there really isn't any left in the area to choose from. But even if there were many, I'd still recommend this one.
