Sundial Gardens and Tea Room
BEWARE: Don't plan to go here as a destination without calling ahead to make sure they are preparing tea to serve. They prepare tea to serve one day out of the week and you need reservations. The staff are very knowledgeable, but one woman was incredibly pushy and kept trying to change my purchase to a more expensive variety that I clearly wasn't interested it. I will not go back.
Tearoom response:
We do not know where this person received information that we serve tea one day our of the week...We have never done this. Whenever we have offered tea, it has always been published in advance, and usually on special occasions (Mothers Day, etc). Also, the lady in charge (the proprietor) is extremely knowledgable regarding tea, and often when explaining how wonderful and healthy they are, she may seem over-stating the issue. Sometimes customers have a chip on their shoulder when they arrive, and make up their minds that they do not want to hear any advice, etc. It may seem pushy, but all the information given has nothing to do with trying to sell a more expensive tea!
