Serenity Tearoom & Fine Dining
Serenity Tearoom is my husband and my favorite place to go for a relaxing and enjoyable time. It is always the place I ask to be taken on my birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. There is a large variety of loose tea to choose from. My husband and I both have favorites in the food category and I'll usually trade something with him because he almost always is too full to eat the scone, which is one of my favorite parts of the meal. For the past year Blanche has offered a choice of home made soups with tea, cold in the summer and hot in the winter, which has made the meal even more special. I find Blanche and her family and employees to be so warm and inviting, our day is really special when we go to tea. I always find everyone there very accommodating which I ask for something different. For example, you are allowed to have a different kind of tea for your second pot, and I usually choose something for dessert, like Strawberry black tea. One time, they were extremely busy and let the tea steep too long. Blanche would not serve it and remade the tea. Although I had time for one cup, I asked if I could take the rest as a carryout and she said yes because I had to wait so long. Those sort of little touches make the experience one to look forward to again. As to coming in late, I would never do that. I know that it takes about 1 1/2 hours for a good leisurely tea and she only has a short time to prepare between sittings.
