British Pantry
As an old regular customer of the British Pantry, I recently found myself back in VA and decided to return and sample a little piece of England once again. Boy was I disappointed...everything has changed, the owner, the staff and the great food service at perfect prices...indeed I was shocked at the small menu and the huge prices...I mean who expects to pay that much for sausage and mash!! The price of the Afternoon Teas and Tea and Biscuits, are somewhat over the top. My British Girfriend commented to me 'Transport Cafe menu at Willard prices' Indeed I know things change, but really, this much? Needless to say, I won't be bothering during any future trips to VA.
Tearoom response:
Goodness Bonnie, I'm sorry your trip was not as planned. We are a tea room with only six tables, our menu is small because we mostly serve afternooon tea, as a brit myself I have spent time in transport cafes, they certainly don't serve afternoon teas, nor are beautifully decorated.
