My mom and I went here on a Saturday for some girl time. We did not have reservations, but were seated immediately and offered a table by the fire with some comfy arm chairs. The setting was so relaxing! It was like a charming cottage with cobbled floors and an indoor fountain. In addition to the tea, they offered a special of blackberry mimosas, which we gladly ordered. Yum! The tea varieties included herbal, black, green, white, and rooibos, with several options in each variety. I ordered a black tea with lavender, which I enjoyed with sugar (which brought out the lavender). I've also tried the black tea with vanilla and rose, but the vanilla overwhelms the rose. My mom ordered a tea that was supposed to be strong, but it wasn't at all. She didn't really care for it. Cream was offered in old-fashioned milk bottles. The Sonomashire cream for the scones was the best - it was like fresh butter. We couldn't get enough! And the scones were fresh and flaky. My other favorite was the sausage roll wrapped in a puff pastry which I dipped in herb-infused Dijon mustard. I've been to a handful of tea places (from more formal at the Fairmont to more casual like this) and this was my favorite so far because of the relaxing atmosphere and good food. Well done!
