I have experienced a variety of tea rooms in the PA, NJ, MD and DC areas and am knowledgeable about the art of taking tea. My friend and I visited this tea room this past weekend and although the food was good, the tea preparation was sub-par. I watched as the tea was brewed. The server did not use a timer, and the tea was left to sit for too long. This ended up in our tea being tepid when first poured and with a sharp bitter finish which is what happens when the tea leaves are not removed promptly. There were only 4 tables in the entire place so busyness was not the issue. We were there from 2 pm until 3:38; at that time our cash tip was swiped away from the table and we were bid goodbye. We felt rushed. Sadly, I can't give this tea room a higher rating, and I do hope that tea preparation improves.

Ms. Carolyn, I am delighted that your food was good! Sad that you did not enjoy drinking your tea. I apologize that I was away on that day and could not personally wait on you and your guest, I also apologize for my waitress 'rushing' you.
