I attended tea at Miss melanies and everything was excellent except the food. For the price there should have been tons of food, but there was a very small amount. There was 1/3 food and 2/3 sweets. It should be the other way around. We all left hungry and went to a restaurant and had lunch. There were some of our party that were dieting, some are diabetic and this was not a good meal for any of us. I doubt we will return unless the menu changes drasticly. I am not trying to be mean, but I feel like you need to know this.

We serve a balanced tea tray with an equal number of sweets and savories. We make every attempt to make special trays for our guests with special dietary needs. Had we been told, we would have been more than happy to present you with a special tea tray. I am familiar with the group that attended and a menu was given several weeks in advance and a guest phoned ahead with vegetarian needs, one lady let us know she was diabetic after the tea tray was presented, and we presented a special tray of savories to her table. We make every attempt to please everyone. I hope next time you come, you will please let us know you have dietary restrictions.
