Golden Tea Garden
My friend and I went to this tea room on a Friday night and enjoyed the High Tea. The decor is wonderful... it really is like an indoor garden. It was busy that night, but nobody made us feel rushed in any way, and we ended up sitting there for over two hours enjoying our sandwiches and treats immensely. As we sipped, we saw many desserts plates go by. The red velvet cake looked good, and the size of the slice was enormous. I was pleased to see a lot of couples. Men seemed more at ease with the garden concept than the usual frilly linens and things. I think the size of the cake helped things along, too! A great place for tea or even for the end of a date... Nothing says romance better than the crystal chandeliers and beautiful decor. I can't wait to take my husband.

The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
I really enjoyed my time here, but the food was not exceptional. The sandwiches were average, one being plain turkey lunch meat. (Even a slice of tomato would have made it seem a little more special) Overall, the people were very friendly, the service was excellent, the tea was very enjoyable and I really had a nice time. I would certainly go back, but would know what to expect... unless the menu changes.
