In May my sister-in-law and I celebrated my mother-in-law's 85th birthday at D's. This was our first time at this lovely home for High Tea. We arrived a few minutes early and were asked to remain outside until the time of our reservation. This was a little surprising but we came to understand why later as we watched how D beautifully managed her guests' needs during their tea experience. D has a beautiful home inside and out. it was a pleasant surprise to walk around the front and back of the property or sit on the whimsicle porches while we waited. Upon entering the home for tea we were surprised to see so many items of interest. Yes, some areas may have seemed a little crowded but there was a theme and you just needed to stop and take your time to experience it all. We were not the first guests to have a reservation that day. A group of ladies with small children in an adjoining room were visible through french doors and appeared to be having fun. The food was delicious with soup, quiche, scones, cream, sandwhiches, treats, etc. Around 50 teas to choose from or ice tea and I found a new favorite - vanilla chai. D was engaging and attentive...just lovely. We had a wonderful experience. I absolutely plan to return.
