Sweet Afton Tea Room and Restaurant
We have been going to Sweet Afton Tea Room every month or so, for years. The service has always been fast and friendly whenever we arrive, early or late in the day. The service has been great when they are busy and during slow times. I am surprised to read negative comments about the service. I have never heard other customers complain of a problem with either the service or the food. While the menu selection is not huge, there is a good range of sandwiches, specials and traditional English favorites. One of our favorites items are the scones. We are not the best judges of the variety of teas because we always order the same tea. Compared to other tea rooms we have visited, I would say that the selection appears good to very good. The room decor is exactly what I would imagine as a tea room. Many nice British touches and even the chandeliers are made of tea cups.
