Until a couple months ago, I never heard of High Tea. And was I surprised! A friend had suggested it and a group of 8 ladies went. From the time you walk in the door you are greeted warmly and made to feel at home. D's has such an assortment of teas, we ladies had to laugh at ourselves trying to make up our minds. My favorite tea was Lady Grey(tea bag). You can try more than one. Service was great, food was delicious, if I had to pick a favorite I would say the Scones. Just a wonderful time to spend with family or friends without feeling rushed. Since we went in January, we were lucky also to have seen Darlene's Christmas decorations. That was a treat in itself. So beautiful! I had hoped to go back again. Then a friend called and off I went without a moment's hestitaion, and we went back yesterday and this time the house was decorated very nicely for Valentine's Day. Although there were five of us and another room with four women, there was no hustle or bustle or the noise you would hear in a restaurant. You really feel that you are at a home of a special friend. I plan to go again. You won't leave with an empty stomach, but you will leave with warmth, satisfaction, and happiness. . .and the desire to go back and try another tea, sample the food, and see what decorations Darlene will have next.
