I recently visited Tea on the Tiber for the first time. The price was a bit expensive for the minimal amount of food that you got. I was also disappointed that, when I made the reservation, I wasn't told about the different rooms and asked what my preference would be. We were put in the main dining room and the distraction of the wait staff going in and out of the kitchen made it hard to have a good conversation. When we later went upstairs to see what else was offered, I realized how wonderful the sun room was and wished we had the option to be there. The wait staff did a good job and our server was very nice. We were allowed to linger over our tea and I appreciated that very much. My friend, having never been to a tea, was very impressed by everything. The decor was delightful but price tags on everything was a little offputting to me.
I have been to Reynolds numerous times and keep coming back! The service has been exemplary every time I've enjoyed tea here. The food is wonderful. One of my guests is allergic to yeast products and the lengths that Reynolds went to to make sure that she had things she could eat was wonderful. She is from Houston and still talks about it and the wonderful Cream of Crab soup! I will be back over and over again.
