The Roswell Teahouse
I'll start with the negative: My experience was similar to the reviewer below. Perhaps your staff was dealing with illness for a couple weeks? For my sister's birthday in early October we visited the Roswell Teahouse because of the high reviews I had found online. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had called ahead earlier in the week with reservations for their light afternoon tea. The service was the only aspect that negatively surprised me. Upon arriving we waited for a while in the foyer for the an employee to greet us. Then we were taken to our table where we again waited for a good 20-30 minutes before our waitress returned to ask for our tea orders. We did receive our tea rather quickly but waited another half hour for our food- which surprised me in that we had made reservations and were on time so I expected it to be prepared. It also took a while to pay and since we were in a rush to make another appointment this was slightly agitating. I understand in customer service that times can be stressful but the staff did not seem particularly friendly or apologetic for the amount of time we waited. Positive; The atmosphere is quite delightful. It appears they have done a lot of work to create an enjoyable space for its patrons. As avid tea connoisseurs we enjoyed the diverse selection and relative freshness of the teas. They were also served in individual cast iron pots. The food for the high tea was fabulous. We both agreed that the lemon curd was incredible! We would go again but only if we had the leisure of waiting.
