High Tea Cottage
I went to this tearoom excited to enjoy afternoon tea as a special farewell to one of my close friends who was traveling over seas but I was greatly mistaken. First, the area is dirty and the outside is an eye sore, however, I will admit that the interior was cozy but deceiving to what truly await inside. Our reservation was for noon, we received water and notification that they were short staffed at around 12:30 without any prior communication from the staff. Our order wasn’t taken till about 12:50 and the waitress had to continuously leave to ask questions due to her complete lack of knowledge of the menu. A fifteen-minute delay due to short staffing would have been acceptable but not a 40 minute one. We asked to speak to a manager to merely communicate our concern, but the large and rude kitchen woman was the only “help” we received. My guests and I decided to leave and we will never go back and we don’t suggest anyone go there. In America we don’t treat customers like they are the enemy. I will be surprised if this business makes it passed 2007.
