The Potted Geranium
On December 3rd I chose to celebrate my special occasion at the Potted Geranium with the ladies I hold near and dear to my heart, my mother, sister and best friend. The staff at the Potted Geranium made this a memorable celebration. My hosts and I had the Duchess of Bedford full afternoon tea service. We enjoyed the Georgia Peaches and Cream tea, Cochin Masala Chai, Hazelnut Vanilla tea, and the Strawberry Kiwi tea. Each teapot had an adorable cozy complimenting the eclectic mix of Victorian china surrounding the tiered server centerpiece. Our table was set with the proper accoutrements for this elegant tea. The quality of the food was matched by the quality of the service. The food was fresh, tasty and a feast for our eyes as well as our appetites. The staff was friendly and very hospitable. Each guest served themselves the dainty tea foods from the tiered tray, starting at the bottom eating the savories first, then the scones, and finally the desserts. We had a wonderful time eating the tea foods and sipping the hot teas. I purchased the house blend and Georgia Peaches & Cream loose teas from their gift shop so that we may enjoy the experience again at home. Although we couldn't duplicate the ambiance of the lovely Victorian tearoom we could enjoy the tea and memories.
