Sweet Afton Tea Room and Restaurant
In July of this year, my neighbor and I had attended an afternoon memorial service in Plymouth and afterwards, she suggested that we go out to lunch. Since we live in Royal Oak, we weren't certain where to go, but I had remembered the Sweet Afton Tea Room where I used to take my mother when she lived in Westland. Hoping that it was still in existence, we were delighted by the lovely lunch and the graciousness of the current owner, Phyllis Wilkerson. It was my neighbor's first experience with a tearoom and she loved it! Now days, tearooms are a labor of love, and I encourage all who love 'all things tea' to support the Sweet Afton Tea Room.
