Simpson House Tea Room
Tea selection was good, but food very disappointing. My soup was cold, the scones were tough, and instead of serving whipped cream or clotted cream, they served Cool Whip! That is just not acceptable. Service was slow and not very friendly.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your visit, however, we have never refused to replace or correct any food not found acceptable (especially 'cold soup'). We do not serve whipped or clotted cream, we serve chantilly cream with our scones which is a whipped sweetened cream, not cool whip. We are sorry if you found our service slow but in the summer months we staff according our reservations, and unfortunately we continue to get many walkins which are very welcome but can sometimes slow service. Jen, we wish you would have addressed these issues with us before leaving our facility so we could have tried to remedy your problems. Thank you.
