High Tea Cottage
We heard about this place through my dentist, he said we would be in for a treat, and were we ever. What a magnificent teahouse, over 3o loose-leaf teas from popular to unusual, we tried the Rooibos, red tea, beautiful. We had china over 100 years old and that set the tone for our total experience. The food was excellent, we actually took some leftovers home, can you believe leftovers! Service is very friendly and professional and staff keen to help. We tried the lavender lemonade, yum. Ordered the Parlor Tea, scones the best we have ever tasted. It’s old worldly yet modern, very calming atmosphere and comfortable, you feel welcome and at home. Major movie star was having tea in another room but it was closed to other patrons, although we did get to see her, we think they have a lot of celebrity clients. Will definitely be going back again soon, both my friends said this is the best tea experience in Los Angeles.
