A Cup of Tea
Went to this tea room today. The ambiance of the place is nice and appropriate as a 'tea room.' However, the service was terrible. When we first walked in, the hostess did not really acknowledge us as she was on the phone and we waited quite long to be acknowledged and served. We waited and waited before the waitress took our order and waited again quite long between courses.....in fact the tea got cold in the pot and had to be 'reheated.' The food was also a disappointment. The tiny scones, were not scones but more like ready made buns. The sandwiches were ok and I think the pound cake was the best thing offered today. I would suggest hiring more help so that customers can be given faster and more personalized service. Improve on the quality of the food if you're going to charge $25 and more and improve on the customer service. This tea room is definitely overrated!
