If you live in the Cincinnati area or are an out-of-towner wishing to entertain locally, , I highly recommend you consider tea or brunch at beautul Promont. I recently attended a brunch there in an elegant historic house setting at linen covered tables centered with live flower arrangements, and covered with crystal, china and silver settings. Each tea/brunch is uniquely planned and freshly prepared to compliment the occasion. Our brunch began with a colorful cold peach soup accompanied with a pecan shortbread cookie made from fresh peaches and pecans personally selected in Georgia. Our main course served by friendly, crisp white aproned volunteers was a salad of mixed greens, grilled pineapple, avacados, blueberries and a specially made dressing. A delicious turkey-broccoli quiche was attractively garnished on the plate. Dessert was a sweet ending to a memorable occasion. A bottomless cup of peach-giger tea was pooured throughout the meal. Many other delcious teas were availabe for sale in the unique gift shop. Surely this must be one of the most pleasant dining experiences in the area for clubs, brides'luncheons, or other social entertainings in an elegant setting and followed by a docent led tour of the historic home, if desired.
