Elise's Tea Room
I asked for Ceylon, which wasn't on the menu, and Chef Elise brought out the tea tin and described the region in India where the tea is grown. The butternut squash soup was exquisite - rich without a lot of cream. I got the 'light tea' but the apple-cinnamon scone was so good, I hate to get another one, the lemon, which was even better with the creme fresh and rasberry preserves. Yum. And just a dab, not too much, like in restaurants that want to stuff you. The cream cheese sandwich was a delight. And the finale -- a dessert tray of decadent petite fours and chocolate cakes, was perfect with a medium-sized rasberry cheesecake. I have visisted many tea houses and this shows the greatest care and culinary quality. Superb. Many kudos from a tea lover -
